Welcome to the website of the department of asian studies, University of Lodz
Since 2005, Department of Asian Studies have been dynamically developing Asian Studies. Our main areas of research are domestic and foreign policy of China, Japan, Vietnam, India, South Korea as well as relations between the European Union and Asia. We participate in numerous national and international projects, including Horizon2020 or the EastAsiaNet consortium. We are obtaining grants from the National Science Center (12 grants since the establishment of the unit) and smaller projects financed by business environment institutions. We are the organizer of Lodz East Asia Meeting – an international conference devoted to Asian issues.
